Who did Shohei Ohtani turn to when his interpreter stole $17 million from him? Who reps Patrick Mahomes, helped L.A. with its 2028 Olympics bid, won Alex Morgan equal pay and college athletes the ability to benefit from use of their names, images and likenesses? Known for their quick action off the field and in the courtroom, the players on THR‘s inaugural sports lawyers power list drive billion-dollar deals for arena naming rights and acquisitions of pro teams — Hollywood’s favorite new business endeavor — and put together packages for sports docuseries and Super Bowl halftime shows. Honorees were selected based on client portfolios, groundbreaking cases, scope of deals and for their reputation among their colleagues.
