‘Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Season 2 Reunion Announced, Nick Viall Hosting

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is receiving the reunion treatment.

After a successful second season that left fans wondering where exactly the fate of MomTok lies, Hulu said Thursday that the series will receive its first-ever reunion special, which is set to arrive July 1 via the streamer.

The special episode will be hosted by Bachelor alum and The Viall Files podcast host Nick Viall. The cast, comprised of Taylor Frankie Paul, Jen Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews, Whitney Leavitt and Miranda McWhorter, will reunite to discuss the ins-and-outs of season two, with cast member Demi Engemann notably missing from all promotional photos.

Season two of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives saw the group of Utah-based Mormon mom-influencers navigate the shifts in their lives after season one’s debut. However, at the core of the storyline was the lives of Paul and Affleck as they both dealt with issues in their respective relationships and Engemann’s personal conflict with Paul and Ngatikaura.

When Secret Lives was renewed for a second season, Hulu ordered a total of 20 new episodes, though the second installment debuted via the streamer with only 10 episodes — notably leaving the series on a cliffhanger. With viewers confused if there’d be a second part to season two, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed in late May that production was underway on those final episodes and the second half of the sophomore season will arrive later this year.

With the reunion, Hulu promises a “surprise announcement,” though it’s unclear what news will be uncovered. It’s likely that the reunion will address the fallout from a trip Engemann, Ngatikaura, Affleck, Taylor and Matthews took on Hulu’s sister series Vanderpump Villa season two that carried over into Secret Lives and has been a major talking point on social media.

The series is produced by Jeff Jenkins Productions in association with 3BMG and Walt Disney Television Alternative. Executive producers are Jeff Jenkins, Russell Jay-Staglik, Andrea Metz and Brandon Beck at Jeff Jenkins Productions, Ross Weintraub and Reinout Oerlemans at 3BMG, and Danielle Pistotnik, Georgia Berger and Lisa Filipelli at Select Entertainment.
