AMC Networks CEO Kristin Dolan 2024 Pay Disclosed

AMC Networks has unveiled the 2024 compensation packages paid out to the leadership team of the company that operates such cable networks as AMC, IFC and Sundance TV and such streaming services as horror streamer Shudder.

CEO Kristin Dolan earned $8.69 million in 2024 compared with $14.6 million in 2023, the firm disclosed in a regulatory filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Dolan, who was named chief of the company in Feb. 2023, received a base salary of $2 million last year, against a $1.65 million base salary in 2023. Without receiving a bonus in the past two years, she did receive stock awards worth $2.3 million in 2024, compared to stock awards of $8.81 million in the year earlier. And Dolan received $4.2 million in non-equity incentive plan compensation last year, against $4.04 million received in the same category in 2023.

Dolan succeeded Christina Spade after a cost-cutting program, including layoffs, was unveiled in late 2022. (She is married to James Dolan, who is chairman of AMC Networks and controls the company.)

After she took over AMC Networks, Dolan outlined such key priorities as optimizing financials and brand impact by making AMC hit content available as widely as possible — including through licensing to other companies, while also looking for opportunities for further streaming subscriber growth, as well as broad distribution.

“In an environment of shifting consumption, we are committed to making our content available across the entire distribution ecosystem,” she said back then. “While we reevaluate the pathways to content monetization, we are strategically reducing costs and streamlining our organization.”

The SEC filing from AMC Networks also revealed CFO Patrick O’Connell received $3.33 million in overall compensation in 2024, compared to $2.2 million in the year-earlier period. And Dan McDermott, president of entertainment at AMC Studios, received $4.1 million in total pay in 2024, against $3.9 million received in 2023.
