CAA Literary Agent Kathleen Remington Launching New Management Venture

After a 20-year career as a literary agent, Kathleen Remington is jumping into the warm waters of the management business.

Remington, who counts Gary Dauberman (It), Chris Morgan (the Fast & Furious movies), and Eric Pearson (Thunderbolts*), among others as her clients, is leaving CAA to launch a new venture focused on literary management.

The decision to go into management was a natural progression for Remington in that it will allow her to work even more closely with artists and storytellers and guide their careers. The new unnamed enterprise will see her to build a company from the ground up and lean into her long-standing values of championing creativity, fostering authentic relationships, and helping shape enduring careers.

“I’ve had the privilege of representing the best filmmakers, writers and producers in the world and collaborating with esteemed colleagues to achieve incredible success at CAA,” said Remington in a statement.

“After twenty years in the agency business, it’s time to build something new—a company that will allow me to continue working with talent in exciting, new ways, as a manager.  In my next chapter, I will create a bespoke client experience with the mission of helping each client achieve their goals and ultimate success in our evolving industry.”

Remington’s began her career at ICM in 2003 as an intern. She quickly rose through the ranks, serving as assistant, coordinator, agent, and eventually a partner and key leader within the agency’s motion picture literary department. She co-led the department until the 2022 merger with CAA, where she continued to represent some of the most prolific writers, producers, and filmmakers in the business. She also served as a partner in that agency’s motion picture literary department.

Amongst her other clients are Mark Perez (Game Night) and Blair Butler (The Invitation).
